Every balm, butter and oil here is anhydrous. No water, no aloe juice, no hydrosol, no honey. Without water there is nothing for bacteria to grow in, which is why none of it needs a preservative and all of it keeps for nine to twelve months.
It is an antioxidant. It slows the oils going rancid and does nothing at all about microbes. We say this out loud because plenty of labels quietly imply otherwise.
Bakuchiol is a gentle retinol alternative and still an active. Calm, intact skin only, never broken or flaring skin, and a few days on the inner arm first. Calendula is in the daisy family, so the same applies if ragweed or chamomile bother you.
In Australia the words on a label decide how it is regulated. We describe feel, moisture and appearance. We do not say treat, heal, repair or restore, and we do not name conditions. That is a legal line and it is also an honest one.
Every jar is numbered and dated. Quote the batch code and we can tell you the day it was poured and the oil it came from.
